went for a nice hike the other day, i think i topped out a 12,300ft. 

i got a package in the mail today from my friend currently serving in the sandbox. i am truely touched by the gift. you don't need a special day to thank a soldier.

i don't have a garage at the moment and that totally blows. i have a ton of ideas that i want to pull the trigger on but adequate shelter prevents that. but on a posi note, i am becoming reacquainted with some fun. in this case: Loveland Pass. i went out to shake up my memory of this place. mainly on how silly the weather can get, where the rocks are and how the snow is settling. i took a short walk around but a time constraint forced a premature return. it was just below zero with a steady 30mph wind and a soupy sky but it felt so good to be out there.

the pass was shut down tonight. not really a very big deal, it'll happen several more times over the winter. its just kinda weird for me to see 4 miles of grid-lock way out here and right out my front door.
